Ashley, Buggs aren't a breed. They're a mixed breed. There are no breed standards and they don't breed true to type. That means there is no predictability in the mix. Some may look and act like a Boston and some may look and act like a Pug. Not only that, Pugs and Bostons come from very different backgrounds, were bred to do different things and have different temperments. The only thing they have in common are some health issues that afflict the breeds. They are both prone to eye and breathing problems. Bostons are also prone to LP and deafness. If you really want a Bugg, I'd highly suggest going through rescue or if you must buy from a breeder I would suggest buying from a breeder who is doing health testing(CERF/OFA/BAER), is using nice stock from decent pedigrees and is working with other breeders to
responsibly create a new breed.
