Does Anybody Have a Bugg Like Me?

I don't have a Boston Terrier/Pug mix but I do have 2 Boston Terriers named Shelby and Souffle.

Hi, Annie acts like a boston terrier alot but she has pug eyes and can cry like a pug. But then bostons and pugs are alot alike. Before I got Annie, I had a pug whos name was Shaolin and she was alot like Annie too. Also Annie is my service dog  like Shaolin(girl) was til hurricane Ivan killed her due to the heat. []

I have been looking at the Bugg breed and they are adorable.  I fell in love with a black and white female that I have been contemplating adding to my family.  I have only had Shih Tzus though, can you tell me about the Bugg 'breed'?  Thanks.

Ashley, Buggs aren't a breed. They're a mixed breed. There are no breed standards and they don't breed true to type. That means there is no predictability in the mix. Some may look and act like a Boston and some may look and act like a Pug. Not only that, Pugs and Bostons come from very different backgrounds, were bred to do different things and have different temperments. The only thing they have in common are some health issues that afflict the breeds. They are both prone to eye and breathing problems. Bostons are also prone to LP and deafness. If you really want a Bugg, I'd highly suggest going through rescue or if you must buy from a breeder I would suggest buying from a breeder who is doing health testing(CERF/OFA/BAER), is using nice stock from decent pedigrees and is working with other breeders to responsibly create a new breed.

Hi I love my Annie(Bugg) of course and she loves other dogs. She acts like both the pug and the boston at times. She is very playful and does have alot of energy right now. I had a pug before and she died of heatstoke due to hurricane Ivan. I don't know much about Bostons but I do know they are high energy and love to play like any puppy. How do your other dogs do about other dogs? How old are they? Could they handle an energyic puppy? Annie has pug eyes but some look just like bostons so you would have to check them out. Annie shows how she feels with her eyes like pugs do and she cries real tears if she isn't happy about something. I would be glad to tell you more if you would ask me questions.
