If Kato sat in my lap, which he's tried on occasion, he'd be arrested for murder!  He's 237lbs. and would probably kill me!

Well, let me see... Delilah, the German Shepherd, would LOVE to be a lap dog. She thinks if she gets close enough to you, she can morph into you. I'm sure of it!  Molly, the one who is actually the right size to be a lap dog, perfers to lay next to me. I think it's just easier for her to express her random bouts of uncontrollable energy that way.  And Dusty, well, he's just a grumpy old man. He really could care less where he's positioned as long as you can reach his butt to give it a good scratch.

Last night I had my 95 lb. bloodhound mix one one side and my 55 lb. coonhound on the other. The coonhound especially is the lapdog--I'm pretty sure he'd crawl under my skin if he could. He's also the heaviest sleeper I've ever encountered in the canine world, so if he's in your lap and sleeping, good luck. You may never get out from under him! He miraculously doubles in weight when sleeping.

Ours would be if let her on the couch or chair. She sits or lays ON my feet when I;m in my chair...

Now the bed, forgetaboutit! She is the craziest little snuggeler - likes for us to spoon her, pull the covers up to her sholder and she lays her head on the ;pillow and snores away! This mornring I was spoongi my wife and she spooned the dog all under the blankets with our heads on pillow..

Wish I had picture here of her snuggeling...
