Anyone have pug or pug mixes??

Hi there, I am interested in getting a pug or pug mix.  Does anyone have one? what are the good points, the bad? What kind of attention, grooming, health needs to they have? Are they good around kids? Would appreciate any info.  I am in So. Cal and believe it or not, I am not having good luck finding any, but if I am going to keep looking I would like some more information about the breed in general.

    Thanks.

I have a pair of pugs,,,,,my female is due to have pups in 3 weeks. Pugs are great dogs in general.,,, great with kids and other dogs, an active home or not they will adapt to your lifestyle,,,,,,,they have a clownish personality but can be stubborn,,,,don't be overly firm in obediance training,,,,,,,,,with all that said,, they do have some problems you should be aware of,,,,,,,,,,,,,,having the trademark short face, they sometimes have breathing difficulties,,,keep them out of hot temperatures as they can overheat,,,,,,,,watch their diet as obesity rears its ugly head,,,,,,,,,they sometimes have eye problems and their wrinkles need to be kept clean,,,,regular brushing keeps the shedding controlled,,,,,,,,,,,,,,most dogs have at least some of the above shortcomings,so they are not that much trouble,,,especially in leiu of the many benefits they bring,,,,,,I would encourage you get a pug,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
