I thought I saw hints of rottweiler but some of those looks at puppy stage could also be bernese mountain dog. But I'd put money on rottie or rottie mix.

hmm. many thanks. would you say gsd x rottie, or do you mean like, primarily rottie and maybe some other breed?

also, are rottweilers energetic enough to jog with? do you know?

more research must i now do, many thanks :)

p.s. while a bernese mountain dog would, admittedly, be cool. they were found wandering a road in ohio. so im thinking unwanted litter, which makes me think more along the lines of more traditional breeds.

Many rotties have hip problems. You would probably want to wait until their bones were fully formed and get your vets ok first.

I would say rottie/shepard as well. I second the vet checking things out and giving the go ahead.. but yes, they can be very active playful dogs. both breeds can be prone to hip problems, but keeping them at the right weight and active would be a good way to ensure a healthy dog!

    Rottie X gsd?
Here's a picture of my gsd when he was a pup.  They have some similarities, but the nose shape and the eyes look different.

People have always said to look at the paws to know how big the dog's gonna get.  This is true to some extent, but wont give you a very exact answer.
Both rotties and gsds are prone to hip problems.  It's very important to have them on a large breed puppy diet to ensure proper developement.
By the way, can I just say that that puppy is gorgeous, regardless of what breed she is!

I think I have to agree with everyone one else.

I looked at google for some pictures of GSD X Rotties and they look pretty similar to your pup. Or to what she'll look like once she gets older.

    Here's a picture.

The first thing I thought was Rottweiler.
