Poll on his breed...

Questions:
1. What breed do you think I am?
2. How big do you think I will get?
3. Is it true that puppies may have shorter hair at first but will be longer as an adult?

I'm super curious as to what other people (who've been around dogs a lot) would say my new dog's breed is. He's 5 months old. Thanks!! [

Possible Australian Cattle Dog and Australian shepherd mix. If it's ACD then don't expect the hair to get any longer. If he's an aussie it could get a tad bit longer.

In my experience, dogs hair fills out rather than gets longer. As in they just get more of it.

I'd say maybe Catahoula mix (not sure what with) or Australian Shepherd/Lab. Just going by his pictures, it doesn't look like his coat will get too much longer. Just thicker. How big is he right now? It's hard to judge how big he'll get just by a picture.

I don't see Aussie, muzzels too round. Aussie's muzzels are more narrow, like a Border Collie's. Based off what I've seen of Cataholuas(sp?), I'd say Cataholua mix.

And if he has a longer haried breed mixed in, the hair possibly will get longer.

I've included 2 pictures of my Aussie, one when she was a puppy and one now for hair length comparison. Her's was shorter when she was a puppy.

He's 32 lbs.

And Shiva, you do have a beautiful Aussie.

And I have attached his puppy pictures... maybe more of an aussie?
