French Breed

Hi,
I am very new to this site. I attended a dog show recently where I met a dog who is some kind of French breed. The man who had the dog refered to the dog as a peanut butter and jelly dog because the breed name sounds kind of like those words...I am not going to attempt at spelling the breed name. Can anyone give me info on this breed. I have been trying to find something about it online but cannot find anything. I have been using all kinds of different spellings of the name to no avail. Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen I believe. "PBGV"

PBGV? Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen. A member of the hound group.

we met a few at the dog show last Feb. they were funny guys [

these two were watching us feed Bo treats and they were barking every time he ate one, their owner said they were just jealous and normal for those two... we just thought it was hilarious. Bo found it a little annoying though lol

I've shown a couple of them and they are super loveable dogs. They can be, and this is coming from a PH owner, a very vocal breed. Very vocal.

But they are cuddly, smart, sweet, and somewhat lazy inside. A typical hound though in that they are very stubborn.
