I might as well have you try to figure him out

This is Justus League. We got him at the humane society over a year ago. He's almost a year and 1/2 old. Because of his coloring and a lot of the things he does we assume he's boxer and something maybe hound or lab. He's about 75lbs so he's pretty big. He does the hitting/boxing thing. He's a big wuss in the world. He has the coloring of a boxer. He has a longer nose than a boxer though and he has a lot of extra droopy type skin. I'd like your opinions.

Justus is a cutie - looks like he's part ridgeless rhodesian ridgeback!

I agree he looks like a rhodesian ridgeback /boxer mix

ive thought rhodesian as well but he doesnt have a ridge really. The strip down his back is a coarser hair then the rest of him but it doesnt grow the wrong way. He has the point on the back of his head that a lot of hounds have and it does form a ridge in the bone down his head to his neck but the hair doesnt make a ridge.

After looking at some more pictures and reading more about ridgeless ridgebacks and the personality traits of ridgebacks it saounds a lot like Justus. I found some ridgeback puppy pics and they look exactly like Justus when he was a baby. My husband has been saying hes boxer/ bloodhound because of the droopy skin and his temperment and head profile. If you pull his ears down from the side he looks very bloodhoundish but i just dont think hes droopy enough and i think his ears would be bigger.

I also see some Ridgey in him...and something else is telling me Dane! I dunno why, I guess the length of his muzzle and the slight droop? The picture of just his head gives him a very Great Dane looking profile...he also looks pretty large?

He looks very much like a ridgeback mix, i'll have to send you some pics of my ridgeback, he often hold his ears like your dog. I also notice the white spot on his chest and paws, another ridgeback trait. His coat looks course and short, but smooth at the same time...just like my dog's.

I thought Dane/Ridgeback. He lies on the couch exactly like my friend's Dane and the Ridgeback coloring and build comes through when he's standing. What a handsome guy!
