Whats your guess on this breed?

• Whats your guess on this breed? Cheryl Waddell Posted : 6/8/2007 11:55:26 AM Here's a picture of Max. We adopted him from our local shelter 3 weeks ago. He was an owner give up and listed as 3 1/2 years old American Staffordshire Terrier who was good with adults, kids other dogs and had obedience training. He is great with people, our 4 year old grandson and our 7 month old yellow lab "Noel". I had him vaccinated, he came back heartworm negative and I had him neutered yesterday. The rabies tag he had on him when we got him was registered to a female huskie type dog, so who knows what the history is there. Our vet thinks he's about 5 and she doesn't see AmStaff in him. She thinks he's Boxer mix or Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. All I know is he is a great dog and very well behaved. Please take a look and tell me what you think. Also their gums and upper roof of their mouths are solid black. LOL, I think she's trying to say he's an All American Heinz 57 and she's probably correct. I just picked him up this morning from being neutered yesterday, so he's just laying in his crate all groggy. I'll check the roof of his mouth later. He's not to happy right now.
