since you mentioned the underbite i would say AB is possible but other bulldog breeds can have that too.

all of my bullies have underbites except for Bo, but i dont think it is a requirement in the standard.
if you paid for your dog its possible the woman didnt want to let on that the puppies were mixed, which is why you didnt meet the father. he may have belonged to a friend or maybe he was conveniently out of town and she just fed you a line.
they're both good breeds, but i would be leary of buying a pup if i couldnt meet both parents.

Yep, I was right. I posted that on your other forum. Please get us some bigger pictures, as well as side shots, but from the face I believe its an AB.

What exactly is the difference between an american bull dog, staffshire and a pit bull?

It looks like a pit to me, but I'm not sure? That's why I asked the above question.
