I do I do!! I've been looking for a Pekingese owner for ages! I own a 7-year-old Peke named Lucky. Please tell us more about your pup!

Actually I have three. I have Elvis Prelley age 8. I have Tinkerbell age 4. And last but not least is Little bit who is around six months old. Tink as we call her is white ,no markings , Elvis is mostly white with blonde streak on his back and a black mask. Little Bit is their offspring and right now she is a honey color with a black mask. If I could I would have at least 2 more. But with three, well you can imagine.Look in photos for sharing for a pic of litttle bit.

I found Little Bit's picture. Very cute pup!! Do you have any pictures of Elvis and Tinkerbell?

I looove Pekes. I'm actually planning to start my own kennel in the future after I do more pedigree research and such. In fact, I just came back from the Golden Gate Kennel Club dog show in SF today [:)] I adore Pekes with all my heart and I would loooove to add a show pup into my home. Unfortunately, Lucky is pretty much your stereotypical male Peke. He doesn't really enjoy the company of other dogs so I'll probably have to wait to get started on my kennel =P

I do but am having some trouble with my scanner but should be fixed by friday so I will post some hopefully by this saturday. I know people will probably slam me but Little bit is Tinks and Elvis's baby. She is still only half the size of her mom who weighs in at 10lbs. Elvis weighs in at about 12lbs but he is fat. Little Bit is around 5lbs. I hope she stays small.

My parents have a 17yr old peke named Sophie.  She still has her puppy moments though not as frequently as they used to be.  What a trooper she is though, and a snuggle bunny.

Well, people would probably flame me, as well. Lucky came from a BYB which is why he looks so much like the old fashioned Pekes. However, if I didn't have him, my passion for Pekes probably would never have been sparked. I like believing that everything is a new learning experience.

Xerxes, it must be serendipity. My name is Sophie, too!

17!!!! Wow. I was worried Elvis was getting old at 8. How old is Lucky, Sofie? Aery how old are your pekes?

Mine are both around 1-2 and 3 years old. I adopted them both, but they are pretty young. I dread even thinking about their old age.

How big are your pekes? Wieght wise? And I wouldn't worry too much about age...Elvis still likes to go for walks and plays fetch. He refuses to do tricks like beg but does most everything else he has since I got him. I've had him since he was four. The guy I got him from had a drug problem and left him outside all the time. Me and my hubby went by there one day to try and talk to him and Elvis jumped in the car when we were getting ready to leave and I wanted him so bad I could hardly leave him but I did. Two days later the owner sold him to me for forty dollars. He was so bad mateed he had to be shaved even to his tail. Tinkerbell was also what I consider another rescue situation. I was trying to find Elvis a friend as he was so lonely he would cry,(no joking), when we left the room. I drove to va. in a sleet/snow storm in feb 3 yrs ago to "look" at her and she was chained with a very short piece of chain outside to a doghouse she couldn't even get into. She also was matted to the point of having tbe shaved bare. She was 1 yr. old and pregnant. The guy I got her from had failed to mention that small detail. But things has worked out fine with both. I have had the both of them tested for what my vet said they needed for proper breeding. Little bit was one of six. She had six when I first got her. I gave my sister one of her first pups and she is absolutely a doll and only weighs six lbs. All the pups so far have been in perfect health and have great personalities. I keep them as long as I can, usuallly , that's around14 - 16 weeks. I can't help myself I love em so much its hard to let go of the pups.

Lucky is 7 1/2. I hope he'll live until he's well into his teens but I sometimes doubt that because of his background. I really could not imagine life without a Peke like him. That was truly wonderful of you to rescue Elvis and Tinkerbell, Denise [:)] But I was wondering if you're still breeding the Pekes? I really hope I don't sound like a spay/neuter snob, but I would really recommend you to speuter your pups if they're not already =)
