What breed do you think? Pit? Collie? Shepherd? All?

I found Arlo ouside his human's house eating out of a dumpster with his siblings and mom.

Mom looks EXACTLY like Murray from MAD ABOUT YOU (the TV show).

The littermates looked like Arlo, more or less. one was smaller and fluffier, another was larger and smoother (looked EXACTLY like a boxer puppy) and a few more in between.

In the area hey were there are alot of loose dogs...mostly "island dogs" which are so mixed that they are close to the "genetic norm"....short-legged smaller brown dogs...but Arlo doesnt have that look. There are alos ALOT of Pit Bulls on the island...does he have any pittie look to him? Also, how furry might he be...like a GSD?

Personality-wise Arlo is VERY confident, stubborn, loud and SMART. I am finding him trainable, but less compliant than my lab...reminds me a bit of when our Beagle was a puppy.

Any thoughts? I would really like hear form Pit Bull folks! Alos, sorry about the pics, I lost my cmera and I am using the camera on my computer....I had to pray he wouldn't pee on my desk!

Murray was an ee yellow BC (also called "Aussie red"), so you've got a BC mix if the mother really did look exactly like Murray. I'm totally seeing Boxer, and some other stuff - probably heinz 57, not to mention the very good chance that mama was too (and just fortuitously happened to look like Murray).

i doubt that mom is a BC ...i think a really good-looking heinz 57 is more likely...For fun I''l try to get a picture next time i drive by. but really i have never seen any real herding breed out here.

On the other hand there are a few boxers about, especiallly out on tht end of the island.

I see NO Pit. I think you've posted this on another forum? I recognize the dog.

It looks to me like a Sant Bernard/Beagle/Shepherd Mix. So cute!

A friend here mentioned pit because there are SO MANY pitties here (dog fighting is a very popular activity[

]) and he has a skinny skinny tail that doesn't "match" his body and he had a BROAD chest.

he is handsome! funny you say Beagle, as the family joke is that he is Keroauc's (our neutered beagle) long lost son...he has the same attitude "problem" kerouac had as a pup.
