I believe the lighter coated dogs in the video are Leonbergers, here is the link to the national club, [linkhttp://www.leonberger.com/]Leonberger Club[/link]

There is a guy in my agility class who has a couple, he shows them in conformation obedience and agility. They are HUGE!![:D] Very cool dogs. I believe they were bred as watchdogs, so I think they tend to be a bit aloof. I know the ones in our agility class have to stay at a safe distance away from the other dogs as they can be aggressive. Although when one of the dogs was a puppy they played with Dasher, but now they look at Dasher as a possible snack. [;)] They are sweet to all the people in class. I am not expert, just giving you my experience with the ones I have met.

My gosh, the ones I have met are SO sweet.  We had 2 new Leo puppies in my hometown this past year (I worked at a vet so I can keep track of the new pups [;)]) and one of them lives somewhat closeby to me so I see him being walked often...he's SUCH a beautiful dog.  His name is Xion I believe.

Leonbergers are cool dogs.  We had one come through the shelter.  I'm not sure if he was with a breed rescue or if it was a transport for a shelter.  He was so sweet.  The biggest thing I noticed was how well-mannered he was and how nicely he walked on a leash.  He stuck really close and watched your every movement.  They're really neat dogs.  If you can handle the amount of coat and drool(I think they drool at least, don't hold me to it though) and you are looking for a dog along this breed's temperament, then I suggest getting in touch with a breed rescue or a good breeder that's supported by the breed club.

I've also seriously considered this breed. They are beyond my means right at $1800 for a pet dog. They have SERIOUS health issues just now being addressed by a very well run breed club so DO go thru them to find a breeder. Leonbergers are not a breed to get without doing some really serious research into their pedigrees and the health and longevity of the dog in them.
