    Guess the breed!

    Here's some pics of my friend's dog- she got her from the SPCA as a pup, and I've been trying to figure out what she could be- at the moment I'm leaning towards GSD/collie/husky (or any combination of those). What do you guys think?

    I'd guess Lab/Shepherd, maybe Lab/Husky.  He's a cutie though, isn't he?  The way his tail sits makes me think he's got some Shepherd in him.  He's got the perfect ears for the mix too.  Around his shoulders you can see that he's got tipped hairs, which looks like a bit like GSD coloring, but I think Huskies can have that too.

    i was thinking of a lab x too. not sure with what though.

    edit: BTW: she has beautiful eyes and a great looking tail. i like her coloring as well. [:D]

    Love the markings on her sides.  A friend also has a shelter dog with these markings.  She says they're his angel wings.

    definatly some shepherd..but other than that im not sure..what a cutie!

    Thanks for all the replies, guys! I've been away so have only just been able to check this thread.
    She's gorgeous, I agree [:)]

    She's also got a really thick wiry coat- that's very shepherd trait, isn't it?
     
    ETA: I love her markings too- it was funny cos they didn't start to come out until she was about 4/5 months old...

    I'm thinking more lab than gsd.  My shepherds don't have WIREY coats....courser than say a cocker, but not what I would consider wirey.

    She remindes me of my brothers old bog which was Lab X Kelpie.

    Hm- maybe wiry was a bit of an exaggeration. (it's a lot coarser than Pocket's coat so in relative terms, so I'd call it wiry [8D]).
     
    Anyway all these suggestions are very interesting! I'll tell my friend next time I see her [:)]
