In our pack only ONE dog has ever had reservations about kids and that is Nemo. Nemo was bred by another breeder in another state and is proof positive to me that genetics are only a small part of what you can expect in a dog. I Dunno   after having been injured while still in the Whelping box by visiting teens he was not sure if younger people or starngers should be trusted.  Thankfully my 5 grands have been amazing in teaching him to relax and trust.

The rest of the pack knows that where there are kids there will be food and toys!  I can count on my grands to dress them up,  cuddle them in blankets or spend hours reading to them.  Puppies  Mom Bubbles  Roll Over Fetch  Frisbee Puppies

Charlie actually seeks out children and will fall on their feet belly up, waiting for loving.  And if they have food...oh boy, he is officially their shadow.

Cheyanne is fine with kids as long as they just want to pet her. Now if they want to hang on her,hug her, kiss her,etc she wants none of it. I am the only one that can be touchy with her. She allows Samantha to hug her and sit on her back when she is laying down. But I think that is because she knows Samantha is part of me and Samantha also knows when Cheyanne has had enough. Now if you have food regardless of who you are she is your best friend.

Lillie could care less. She does know they are easy to knock down so she is careful around them. She has had Samantha fuss at her too many times for knocking her down. She will let Samantha do anything to her. She is often used as a pillow by Samantha.

Kujo wants nothing to do with kids other than Samantha. She loves people and attention. But little kid attention she will just have to pass on. They do not know how to treat her right. She is not a toy and doesnt want to be treated like one.

Honor is fine as long as they approach slowly and just want to pet her.  But we're still working on it a lot, and she's been getting better.

Sort of a mix of A and C.  I taught him very early to ignore kids unless they approach him and he's given the "OK" because he was, when younger, MUCH too boisterous and all the jumping around scared any little kid near him and he knocked a couple of them over.  He still ignores them unless they want to play with him (the certain situations bit)....if they are happy to throw his ball or pet him, he is INCREDIBLY gentle with them, as if he now knows that little ones are more "delicate" for lack of a better word.  He'll sit nicely to be petted, let them take toys right out of his mouth (he will do this with me, too, but is more reserved about allowing access to his mouth when it comes to adult strangers)...let himself be hugged around the neck (also not something he likes from adult strangers)....to be honest, I don't know where he developed his sense with kids.  I only taught him to ignore them and then before I could teach him how to be around kids when he was "allowed" he'd demonstrated that he knew what to do anyway.

I maintain that labs are not the perfect "family pet" in most respects, but in this one I guess they are.

Porche loves kids, as long as they're not loud or overly energetic. If they, she tends to just want to leave the situation. She'd rather just cuddle with them.

Roxy is a bit nervous around kids and all strangers alike. She'd much rather be around me or my roomate.

Wylie loves them! Especially if they throw the ball for him! He's a bit rowdy and rough sometimes, though.

Charlie is okay if they just want to pet him. I think he'd rather do without them, but he tolerates them.

I voted the Emma feeling. Small doses. She looooves a few kids, and she's leary of most. It depends on how polite they are with their petting. Generally, she'll say "hi" then go do something else.

Ena loves all kids, all dogs, cats, chickens, horses, toys, food, grass, vets, groomers, stores, cars, blankets, picnic baskets, and birds. She does not love all crates, though.

All of mine love kids.  Bevo, Shooter, & Brinxx would prefer meeting/playing with children over adults.

Apollo LOVES LOVES LOVES kids! When he sees kids coming toward him he lights up, gets all wiggly, lol.
My brother had a huge wiffle ball game during Memorial Day weekend...of course Apollo wanted to play! Here's a pic of one of my brothers friends trying to get Apollo off 2nd base:

    They love KIDS.

Max isn't too sure about Will.  I realise now that he wasn't socialised to kids of the age Will is at now... He seems unsure and this is only since Will recently started his latest "thing"which is crawling and charging into them headfirst.  Dell started it.  He did it once and she thought it was a funny game... she "wiffled" him all over and licked the top of his head.  Cue squeals of delight from William and superfast head charges at every opportunity.  I am dismayed!  He is usually pretty gentle with his hands, (*pat pat pat, "ahhhh!"*)  but he just thinks head charging is hilarious..... needless to say I swoop him up mid charge, tell him firmly that "we don't do that" and make him go do something else.

Max is convinced that anything on the planet with two legs was put here solely to play with him.

Maggie LOVES my daughter and niece, they rough house and play chase with her all day long. Maggie wags her tail the whole time and lets them catch her (even though she could definitely outrun them)
