How many dogs do you own?

    BCMixs

I have 2 of everything.  2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats.  I've thought about adding a 3rd dog, but I think I might throw off some mystical balance that I've got going on where we don't have any major problems going on and everything is coming up roses, so I keep telling myself No and using painful rubber band therapy to keep me off of Petfinder.com!  Stick out tongue

We seem to have the same thing going on here.  We have 3 humans, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 cars, 3 swings on the swing set.  3 seems to be the number here. I guess I better go get 2 more bunnies  lol.

Cheyanne is my 7 year old dalmation lab chow mix I have had since she was 6 weeks old.

Lillie is my 19 month old Irish Setter. I got her when she was 4 months old.

Kujo is my 1 year old Chihuahua. I got her when she was 6 weeks old.

Not Really a huge hassle. I board Brownie and Baxter. Then I take Cuddles and Bailey to my grammas. I will probably take Possum with me though.

3 of my own plus 1 foster. I'm thinking that I could handle 4 on a perm. basis - it has been actually easier to add #4 than it was to add #3, but my family would probably commit me to a mental institution.

LOL my dh the other day said...

"you know I don't really think about how many we have. It's easier that way. I just think of it like this: we have a bunch of little ones...and one big one. That way it's almost like we only have two..."

    LMBO.

Speaking of which Ms. Gina... I think you need to add a certain cute feisty little mutt to your signature!!

I have 1 dog..and my sister who lives with me has 1. But they can't be in the same room, so you only see one at a time....it's almost like we only have one!

I'd have like 20 if renting and Cherokee would permit. LOL

too many! If I gave the number I'd have to move...LMBO...the city would come for me.

Oh me too! Right now we have 5. We *may* (I shouldn't jinx this though) end up with 6 before too long....

I have 2. Cadie is the family dog and Riley is mine, but I love them both all the same. I was considering adding another dog like a BC or Aussie,  but due to some unexpected circumstances I don't have enough time for three. It wouldn't be fair to the dogs.

Plus, Riley is my shadow and is constantly craving my attention - I don't know what getting another dog would do to him. He's an amazing dog and we are like two peas in a pod; I am perfectly content and happy with Ri & I for now. : )

I have one Aussie and my family has one lab x.

    I have 4.

I've had Buster since I was 12.  He was a gift from my dad.  He is now almost 14. He was about 3 months when we brought him home.

Lady belonged to my SIL and now belongs to DH and I.  She is 14.

Max was adopted by my MIL and he now belongs to us since she passed away.  He is now 9.  He was about a year when we brought him home.

Benny was brought home by me after being given up by his owner where I work last April.  He will be three in August.

I have one cairn.  DH will not allow another.  I am such a dog & animal lover that he sets limits.

I have one PRT, and one Chinese Crested.

Emma is the PRT, and the "old lady" of the house, LOL. She's 4 1/2, and I adopted her when she was 9 weeks old. She is my obedience dog, and the best dog trainer I know.

Ena is the Chinese Crested, and only 5 months old. She's a psycho.

At the moment just one. However we have owned as many as 5 in the past. Of course that was when we had acreage and what a rowdy bunch they were. I wouldn't trade those years for anything! Lots of good memories. Owning just one has the advantage of spoiling that family member much like an only child.  We lost our precious 16 year old Goldie a month ago so now just have the lab.

We have three of our own and occasionally get up to four if there is a foster or if we have one of my breeder's dogs in for training/socialization.

(She lives way out in the country on top of a moutain and we are in a sub-rural setting, so we host her dogs on occasion to get them use to living in the "burbs", playing with children next door, go to handling classes, into stores etc. and other exposures that are harder to come by way out in the country. Plus it gives me more training and handling experience with a variety of dogs, which is awesome and really helps me develope my skills as a trainer/handler.)

Just one crazy Min Pin, whom is my baby and heart dog! She's sitting on my lap as I type this. =] If I could have more though, believe me I would!

Two, Honor (AKK) and Nike (Sheltie).  The total ying and yang of the dog world, yes they are. Smile
