So I am seeing some changes in Nyx's behavior. She is becoming more aware of me in her environment, and more interested in me. I'm seeing better attention (although it still has a long way to go.) She even made a point of coming to lie down next to me on the couch, leaning on me, wanting me to cuddle. She used to hate being petted. Today she also *very gently* put her front feet in my lap, and when I petted her behind her ears, she relaxed and closed her eyes, very content.
Another first we had today was she play-bowed for Tyr. This was the first time she has displayed appropriate dog-on-dog interaction.
She also is fiercly blowing coat and will most likely come into her first heat any day now. She also turned a year old a couple days ago.
So ~
Is this -
1. All my hard work with her is beginning to pay off
2. She's beginning to grow up a little bit
3. Her hormones are turning her into a mush, but don't worry she'll return to her psychotic ways after she's out of heat.
4. Who cares -- enjoy the moment!!
