What's your favorite coat color for your breed(s)?

Dobes - black & tan.  I tend to be drawn to black & tan in a lot of other breeds, too

Whippet - whoodiggity!!  There's a lotta choices, and I still haven't decided.  White w/brindles seems to be what I'll end up with - watermarked if I'm lucky.  I tend to love fawn dogs (esp Great Danes w/a black mask), and I'm really curious to see a dun Whippet in real life.

Dobes- I like both black/rust and red/rust. No blue/fawn/albino for me!

ridgeback- I prefer the deeper red with black face

GSD- All black (duh!) or the really dark sable.

Well with flat coats, you got black or liver. I looooooove black. Actually I love black on any dog, so does the significant other.

Border Collies - good ol' black and white, or black tri, with a ton of tan. Think Beagle-marked Border Collie. Thats it.

Aussie - Back and white, black tri, red merle. =)

Dachshund - Black and Tan Longhairs, or Black and Tan Pie's

Buddy is an Aussie mix and I have to say I like the merle on him. Most merles however I find their faces off balance. I picked Kobi because he was a black-tri. They are always gorgeous IMO and any dog with eyebrows has personality written all over.

Miniature Pinschers: Chocolate and tan. I love chocolate dogs in general. Followed by the black and tan. Least favourite are the fawn/blue and reds. Although, I love them all.

Chihuahuas- Chocolate tri. Hehe. Mmm chocolate.

Dobermans: Red/rust, all the way. I love black/rust as well, but I prefer red. I'm not one for dilutes... I don't mind the look of a healthy coated blue or fawn, but those are very uncommon, and I would never seek one out. Albino is not for me at all.

Tollers: They only come in shades of red and orange with white, but I prefer a dark, rich shade of red. Markings don't matter to me generally.

All in all, I prefer red or brown dogs over any other colour in most dogs and breeds if they come in brown or red. :-)

For Huskies, Black and white with brown eyes. I know everyone loves the blue eyes, but for me, they just don't have the expression like the browns.

And when I think about owning a Doberman, the dog I picture in my head is always a Black and Tan Male.

If I were to ever get a dog that comes in Bridle, that is what I would want. I really love a brindle dog.

Black and white fan here!  I also like the pattern of Gizmo's face, the yin yang thing.  I have always liked dogs who have the black patch over one eye.

For Siberian Huskies, my favourites are the cinnamon/red colouring or solid white. For German Shepherds, my favourite is the classic sable.

Boxers - brindle closely followed by white

    GSD - solid black

Boxers - brindle closely followed by white

Although, I do like the look of a white boxer that is something I would absolutely NOT breed for.  Boxers are already a sensitive breed health wise and whites are loaded with health concerns.  There are a few other breeds where white is a major defect and should be avoided if possible.

Black and Tan for me and the shorter the coat the better :) less grooming

I love Black and White Bostons also Brindle ones.

    German shepherds....

I can't decide between deep red sable or a blanket black and red (like Elisabeth's Stark).  Those tie for first.  Black and red (like west German show lines) is third.  Then black sable, then any other sable, then solid black.  My least favorite is black and tan (like a real creamy tan with less black pigment) or bi-color.
