    Do you board your dog?

It's such a dilemma when we go on vacation and have to leave our pets. It's best to check out kennels in your area and look into pet sitting services there are many out there so do your homework. Not all kennels and boarding facilities are bad, most offer tours and many now are cage free. Share with us what you do when you go away.

Check out this cool place there is one in California and in Ohio.

We board with our vet.  He has separate boarding and it is so nice.  Each "doggy cage" has a stainless steel shelf in case the dogs are use to sleeping in a bed.  They provide blankets for the dogs for the bed or the floor.  The stainless food and water bowls attach to the door.  Is A/C and heated.  Have a totally brick fenced in play area--fence is 8 feet tall--and the techs take the dogs out 3 times a day to run and play.  Potty area is in another area and kept clean.  No gates at all in the play area, totally safe.

I always feel better having Honey there (as other dogs in the past) the few times we have had to board her.  I sign that any treatment needed for illness or injury is to be done.
