According to the New York Times, it's ok to "let the dogs out" the New York State Senate passed a bill that will allow dogs to dine with their owners at outdoor dining restaurants. Not so long ago state law did not allow dogs in outdoor areas for health issues, but that was often skirted by businesses.
Thankfully, the bill passed 60 to 0 in favor of dogs at outdoor establishments. Of course, they encourage all dog owners to keep their dogs leashed and make sure they are well mannered. However, dogs are not allowed inside unless they are service dogs.
Some people are not happy about the decision so they will have to eat inside I guess. Let's face it dogs are part of the family and why shouldn't a well behaved dog be allowed to dine with us. Allowing dogs can really boost business especially if you have a dog friendly clientele, they may go else where if you stop catering to their canine family.
What do you think?
Can't see a problem with it outside
I agree Baddog, dogs are part of my family and it's fun to take them out for a snack!
I think that it is a good idea! I am just really worried about rambunctious dogs that the family thinks are good dogs but can actually cause a problem.
