Major Community Updates: Here Is What's New On Dog.community

  • LIKES 4 COMMENTS 4963 VIEWS

We’re proud to introduce the upgraded DOG.community! The time has come for a new, improved look to the community. It is our sincerest hope that these changes will enhance the experience of the DOG.community for past, current and new members! We know that it has been a long road, but together, we are making great strides toward a brighter future for our community.

What’s new?

  • The home page has more social aspects to it! You can see your friends, quickly see the latest unread threads, access the kennels you are members of and also see the latest content in the grid. The grid has been extended so you can read the whole post and when someone replies, it moves to the top of the page.

  • The Kennels are really cool! Users that have a ranking of 200 points or more are able to create kennels (personal areas or groups). A group can contain blogs, forums and galleries. For example, you can create a group for your company and then use the blog, gallery and forums to allow your customers to discuss and share experiences.

  • Earn Badges (or points). As you get more points, you can receive badges. These badges represent your rank within the DOG.community. They are based on how many posts you have created on community.  The rankings are as follows:

-          Puppy-for new members

-          Bronze-100 points

-          Silver-500 points

-          Top Dog -1,000 or more

  • There is a new gallery section that allows users to upload images and collections of images.

  • The site wide forums have been compressed into simple sections and are accessible from the main menu.

  • The site wide forum view also contains a list of all of the forums with the latest post and a list of all of the latest threads. You can create a thread directly from here using the green button.

  • The forum thread view has been reverted to a list that can be filtered.

We really want to make this a place where all dog lovers can share pictures, ideas, seek advice and most of all, help each other and our dogs.

Please encourage all of your dog friends to sign up and join our community.

Have Questions? That is what we are here for! Take a look at our improvements and let us know if you have any questions and your thoughts on this release!
