I am sitting here in sunny Phoenix, AZ missing my family in Wisconsin. My daughter is doing a fantastic job of taking care of the dogs and horses and pups, but it's hard on her. This is finals week for her and she has so much studying to do as well. She's a good sport though.
Pups are doing well. She and my husband had to get another bowl and they are now separating the little pups from the bigger ones - those bigger ones tend to mow over the small ones when the food comes out!
I ran into a woman with a Labradoodle today at the resort - made me miss my dogs!! I will say that it was an adorable dog, but she did not get the great qualities of either breed. She looked like what it is - a mixed breed. Which is fine. We all know that mutts make the best pets! The woman mentioned that her dog definately sheds and has personality "quirks" that make her difficult to handle. I didn't ask about the quirks - I was late for a meeting. But it did reinforce my reasons for being a 'poodle snob', as I've been called by those who have wanted to use my male to breed their female lab or golden or whatever.
I should have brought one of my dogs with me...
