Yes, you shouldn't worry about all of those products and services. I mean if you can afford them then that's great, but your dog needs love first of all. Then physically, he needs food, health care, and a comfy place to hang out and sleep. He also needs to be kept clean and be potty trained to pooch pads or to go outside. After that, the other stuff is extra and should be fun, not stressful!

I read a qutoe by the dog whisperer that I liked-
“Discipline (training) isn't about showing a dog who's boss; it's about
responsibility for a living creature you have brought into your world.”
Much like a newborn, I think. I try to use a SIMILAR approach in training my dogs, that I would use to teach a child.
