  • HELPING OUR PETS EXCELL- *edited by moderator*

I decided to write this blog about HOPE for pets (Helping our Pets Excell) because many of us really don't realize how incredibly deficient our pets are in Protein and Nutrients. Just like us, our pets need optimal nutrition in order that they live their full life in the best of Health. We love our...

  • Re: Food For Thought

I know I am getting in on this topic rather late, but I just wanted to say a few things about dog food. First off each dog is an individual just like people some people can eat junk all there lives and be fine, others don't do so well that is where the genetics come into play. It's how the dog...

This is just a comment from personal use of the product. We have used Pedigree for about 16 years. We have a small kennel that has 8 labs and 2 inside Corgis. We have had great success with the products from Pedigree and had our labs living till they are 13+ years of age. Corgis are only 3 right now...

What a question! There have many, many answers. I have a puppy who is 5 1/2 months old. He weighs about 3 lbs. 8 oz so far. He IS picky! I've tried Nutro puppy for the extra protein--he will hardly eat it. I always keep a dish of it available. I also tried some samples the vet gave me...same response...

  • Cat Food - Raw, Canned or Kibble? (NDR)

Let's talk cat food. My male cat developed chronic urinary crystals years ago and my vet told me to feed him a low magnesium food, which turned out to be Hills Rx, c/d (before I knew anything about good pet food). We have been feeding our cats this food for years, and yes, they don’t get UTIs, but...

  • Re: How do you store your dog food?

I have one of those big storage containers on casters with a snap lid. It holds a 33 lb. bag of dog food quite nicely and I keep it in the pantry so I really don't care much about being able to change the design. I think metal would be heavy and cumbersome for that much weight, and ceramic or glass...
