Hmmmm, looks like the spammers have had a great time overnight. Sigh....... Today will be busy for me all darned day. But, then I've got pretty much the entire weekend. Think I'll do some of the fruit breads for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Oh yes, Sarah Palin's book is so far from my wanna read list, and all these interviews are just getting old, real fast. I almost choked when she told Oprah that she's praying for Levi and he's family, blah, blah, blah.......yeah, sure. Kim tomato soup and grilled cheese was always my mom's meal of choice in the hospital. I won't share my last experience with tomato soup....the result was not pretty!

I used to feed Chicken Soup but found it to be a poor substitute for Innova. The dogs did fairly well on it, but I had to feed a good deal more. Also, it is made by Diamond, which is a company that I no longer trust.

I agree. dog.com is my favorite place. I've been here for a lot of years, it's "home" and comfortable.

Tina, I honestly don't know if Corky would appreciate a friend or not. For sure it couldn't be a "normal" duck and I'd probably have to get a baby who she could "raise" so that there were no issues with her handicap. But, I'm not real sure that she knows she's a duck and she certainly is a pretty content little girl as she is! One of the guys from the station is here to try and help DS fix the brakes on his truck. I was at the post office, started the engine

Swifferlips, I sure understand how you feel. That's the way I feel on some of the other forums. Believe it or not, some of us have been here forever, but some of our members are much newer and still fit right in. Stick your two cents in now and then and you'll start feeling more comfy. Our Mindless chat in NDR (although its Wed blubbering or something today) is a great place to get your feet wet

Yes, every day does seem too much. Unless one of my cockers was being treated for something, it was more like once a week for the ears. The ear canal is dark, add in a bit of moisture and very little air circulation, and oh yeah, those ears infect so danged easily. If the vet isn't seeing any infection, I'd spring for the culture. That's pretty important since some broad spectrum antibiotics don't kill EVERY ear bug. I've often said, of my cockers, if I knew then what I know now

LOL! I went out to the GARAGE to pack my box. It's ready to go, just need to take it to the post office and send it off. Tomorrow or Friday I'm guessing.

Because of those heavy ears, cockers tend to have a lot of ear issues and most often the smell comes out of the ears. I'd recommend regular ear cleaning with a good product (epiotic is one) to keep those ear canals clean and dry.
