Re: Sex Offenders Should Spend Life in Prison/Receive Death Penalty

Really, back in the good old days you stayed in jail maybe over night then saw a judge who either put you to work doing community service or ordered something cut off like a hand, ear, ect or something branded in a visible place and you were free to go, come back again and you went to the gallows. IDK I have two male friends I love very much who were both accused of rape - one I know whole heartedly didn't do it, the girl lied because she felt bad for cheating on her boyfriend so my friend ended

rupert I'll never forget you

Some of you probably remember the posts I did about rupert. Today I cant believe it actuly happened but he was euthaniised, After more than a year with no incidents last night he attacked Dolly and severely injured her, first thing this morning he went. I'm greatful my friend kevin came with us for moral support, it was the hardest and easiest thing to do. No matter how much I loved him he was dangerous to other dogs and to people. He went blissfully peacefully and for that Im thankful. I'm

Re: rupert I'll never forget you

The doxie piup, no matter how amythig g0es isn't staying, were only keeping him for the night since the local sheter isn't open today but tommorow morning we'lll definetely be taking him. He's a sweet little guy I have no doubt he'll find a fabulous home somewhere. Mainly he's here to give me comfort for the evening - my mom talked to the girl who was on duty and explained what happened, the pup is doing a good job of keeping my mind off Rupert. I don't want or need another

Re: Healthcare reform?

I say the post office does a half way decent job. I get my mail every day except sunday between 3 and 5pm. I think that something is better than nothing. From what I've heard of the bill - that this bill will regulate the private insurance companies so they can't do some of the crooked things they do now like discriminate based on gender, age, or pre-existing condition, drop insurance for criticaly ill people, or charge the rediculus co-pays for things. The health insurance companies now

Re: Miniature Pinschers

lol. The whiney yelps and jumping in the car sounds about normal. Shivering, crawling under blankets, barks a lot... sounds about normal. He's probably anxious. Our min pins have a ton of prey drive, have you tried playing with him by tossing a squeaky toy or small ball around? Get him moving and wear him out a bit... maybe? I really need to get video, around here the most frequent exclamation anyone makes is, "Leaping Min Pins!" They bounce, a lot, for any and every reason. They're

Re: The Saga of Buck

He looks like such a good guy! I know akita's supposedly aren't the cuddly teddy bears they look like but I'd love to take care of him just for the hugs and fun of seeing him flop down for a good brushing every day. Hope he finds a nice place with nice people to settle down with!

Re: Introducing a 2nd older dog into home with younger 1st dog

Nobody's answered you, I haven't done this but I know there is info out on the web. Have you tried googling 'introducing dogs' 'introducing 2 dogs' or 'bringing home second dog' ? I'm suprised those haven't turned anything up, sometimes the wording has to be just right. I think that the common wisdom right now is to do the first introduction at a place unfamiliar to both dogs like a park you don't normally go to or a friends house, it takes two people to

Re: Hi! I'm new and have a question...help?!

Hi, I just want to say welcome to the forum. I have an idea, I'd like to site sources, if I remember the book I will post it - DON'T reprimand your dogs for their fighting, growling, or aggression - not in word or any way. Protect your puppy by supervising 100% of the time and if you think there's danger don't let the pup around the older dogs without everyone on lead and restrained or in a kennel. The dogs aren't comfortable with each other and if you act aggressively you could

Great Dog Books?

Hi all! Can you list your top 5 or 10 favorite dog books? Which ones are must read? [my 21st b-day is coming up on the 28th and instead of going to get alcohol poisioning I'm spending the evening in with my parents, who have been kind enough to offer $50 towards any books I want. I'm pretty happy.]

Re: Great Dog Books?
What sort of dog books are you looking for? Non-fiction? Fiction? Memoirs? Training? I keep a list of the dog books I've read and have kept them categorized really well. The ones I really enjoyed are starred. http://crysania7613.bravehost.com/dogbooksread.html Yes I really AM this anal. I love keeping lists.
That's a great list! I've read some of those, Lost and Found(at the library, heartbreaking btw why didn't you like it?) Cesar's
