Here are 4 book titles I got from the same web page. "The Complete Rottweiler" by Muriel Freeman "The Rottweiler" by Joan Klem "The Wonderful World fo Rottweilers" by Anna Katherine Nicholas "Good Owner, Great Dogs" by Brian Kilcommons The more titles the better!
I'm so terribly sorry that I replied to this just a teensy bit late.. and looking at your list so far.. your heading in a good direction! Anything by Joan
Ah you are not late, I have not ordered the books! I will though now that I have the money and more information! I will check out all of the links! Thanks!
I'm glad that I wasn't too late with the book suggestions, and thinking about it.. I thought of a couple more that you might be interested in! Good luck with your research! Brace, Andrew. "The Ultimate Rottweiler", Howell Books, 1995. I almost picked up a copy of this book while at a pet

Weird.. I would have thought that the Akbash would have left the deer alone, not to chase them?? I know of LGB running off or even killing coyotes, stray dogs and other critters... but never an animal that similar to the type that they protect?? Sorry that I don't have greater insight for ya.. I'm just as surprised as you..

Well, personally for me I have a fondness for females. I have found them to be more bonded to me, and more aloof with strangers. Our males have been the "here's the key's to the car and the safe combination is 1234" type of dogs... I'd have both, but given my choice when choosing a puppy, I'd go for the girls every time!

Well besides the one big obvious one for me.. (Hint: see avatar and signature) I'm in love with Corsos, Dogos, Presas, Bullmastiffs, Filas and Dobes. Their all such intelligent and powerful, yet deeply devoted breeds...
They dont like beagles. They want something that they can trust in the house when mature and able to be off leash when outside. They have been looking at the Scottish Terrier and Schnauzer though.
Definitely not a Scottie!!!!! They require hand-stipping (hard work), which produces a correct coat type that doesn't shed as much. If they aren't up to the challenge, then the Scottie must be sent to a groomers, which when clipped, causes Terriers to shed
