So sorry for your loss. We lost a dog to AIHA 4 years ago, so I understand how you feel. Take comfort in knowing that you did the best you could do and Tyson was loved.

I feel bad for you- cat spray is the worst. We had a similar situation. Frustrating. After 13 years cat started spraying all over our house. Long story short: Medical tests confirmed it was behavioural. We tried a couple of different anti-anxiety med with prozac finally being the one that is working and we haven't had any spraying for 3 weeks now. I was really resistant at first to drugging him, but for us it was the best alternative as feliway/addition of litter boxes, etc. didn't deter

Liesje - The med my vet prescribed for the super sprayer is clomipramine. I just did an online search and one of the sources I found says that it is 90% effective in treating inappropriate marking behaviour. So far he has had one dose and I will say that it seems to have taken the "edge off" for him. He is normally the trouble maker, even at 13 picks fights with the other two, knocks stuff off the counters just to watch it fall, paces, throws himself at closed doors etc. The ultimate Evil

Boy, I just saw this post and understand your frustration. We have 3 cats; all seniors (13-18) - one with kidney disease, one with IBS and one who has just started marking all over the lower level of the house. The crazy thing is he'll do it right in front of me. We have been to the vet, ruled out infection, tried the feliway diffuser. I am at my wit's end. I can deal with kidney disease cat and the daily IBS vomiter, but cat spray is a whole different matter. I am SO frustrated and find

My dog and another dog were wrestling in the yard when all of a sudden there was a horrible howling from both dogs. Somehow my dog's collar had wrapped around Bizzie's lower jaw, linking both dog's together at my dog's neck. At first we thought that Bizzie had clamped on to Bodie's neck, but when we were able to see what happened we realized that there was no way either dog could free itself. TG for quick release collars. Poor boys were both really shaken up about and we always

How frustrating - we're still pulling for you and Bobbi.

We have the Mushers wax and found that if we apply (outside) right before going to the park or for a walk it dries enough to not leave marks on the floor when we return. Even with the musher's, we still have to keep his paws shaved. Otherwise the ice factor is extreme with the webbed feet/long hair.

I keep checking this thread every day hoping for good news - please know you and Bobbi are in my thoughts.

B is a smiler. When he was about 7-8 months old we noticed that whenever we let him out of his crate he would come out showing us his front teeth, head kind of down, nose wrinkly and wagging his whole body. At first it kind of freaked me out! I'd never seen a dog do that. Now whenever we come home, or if he sees someone he likes he gives them the hi-hi grin. Its probably a little scary to see this 80lb black dog showing his teeth at you if you don't notice the rest of the posture at first
