Though I do not use this actual product, I do give a probiotic supplement on a daily basis. I have a dog with IBD and a probiotic every day keeps his gut flora in balance. With Monty's colitis, I would use a probiotic for him, daily, as well. There is no harm in using a probiotic every day, only benefit, especially for a dog with G-I problems. And, yes, the tablets would work just as well as the gel, and might just be more convenient to use.

How about Sojo's Complete? I know the pre-mix contains rosemary, but the new complete formula with turkey does not. Also a few of the Grandma Lucy's dehydrated formulas may work---most are moderate protein, though some formulas do contain rosemary.

We have had good luck with the Pawz dog boots------form fitting and so there's not any of that "stumbling" associated with some other boots. Worked great last winter and we had a TON of snow. http://pawzdogboots.com/
They will just have to ask to go out
I certainly wouldn't count on this. I would put all the dogs on a schedule, and take them out on your time, not theirs. If you wait for them to "ask", it's usually too late. I would treat them all as if you were just starting potty training all over, again. FWIW, I have never waited for my dogs to "ask", and have always taken them out (or let them out) on my schedule---it has not failed

There's no reason you can't feed both---maybe kibble/topper in the a.m. and Freshpet in the p.m.---or vice versa. If they do well on both, it's nice to have the versatility to feed both.

Well, there are worse ingredients to worry about than artificial Vit. K. I would keep him on the EN for at least 4-8 weeks to stabilize his G-I. Adding a probiotic would be helpful--not enzymes, but a probiotic. I use a human product, but since your vet has the Purina products, you may want to ask about Forti-Flora---I know several people who have had great success with that particular product. Sounds like he needs to get his intestinal flora back in balance. Some dogs do not do well with a lot of

You can and should use probiotics long term. My dogs get a probiotic/prebiotic every day. If your dog/s has/have chronic poo problems and yeast problems, I would add a probiotic daily. Obviously the gut flora is off balance and it will likely take more than a few weeks to re-establish and maintain balance. I use a human product for my dogs (usually NOW 4x6 or Jarrow formulas). I know many people have a good success with Purina's Forti-Flora, as well---you can get that from your vet. I see that

Actually, Orijen has recently undergone a formula change---at least in their adult formula as well as the fresh fish formula. You compare the ingredients from their website to the original ingredient list (not yet updated) on the DogfoodProject.com website.

How about Solid Gold Barking at the Moon? I think the Petcurean formula GO! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal should fit the bill. Pretty sure all of the TOTW products should work, as well
