I'd also put out there that sedation is risky...for a Giant. They do NOT take to ACE or other tranq's well and your vet could well OD him trying to guessimate how much will put him out. There is literature on the net about having to be VERY careful with Giant's in regards to trang's and anesthesia.
She's not an idiot. I've been reading her book, and she is just as intelligent, capable, and ready as any other politician
That's one opinion. I don't think that any politician actually "writes" their own books. They have much, MUCH guidance. I wouldn't assume reading any public figures book...that it is representative of anything real or how they "are", I mean they aren't Maya Angelou you know?? LOL It's

Becca would be the one to ask on this...but I think she was going thru some things and mightn't be here right now. Anyone know if brookcove is around or able to respond on this? I recall some circumstance or another having happened a while back... the picking up and shaking would concern me, too. It's almost prey like. Does he play in that manner or escalate like this, with other larger dogs? Has he played with a small/Toy breed before this? How did that go?
The particular breeder website I looked at says they won't sell to anyone without a 6 ft privacy fence,
Yup seen that before too. Keep in mind a fence like that isn't that great for keeping folks from leaning over and taking your dogs either. Or feeding them something nasty, or teasing them, etc. Nor does it do much to deter OTHER dogs from jumping IN to your yard I would likely have issue with a 4' fence with my breed. Being bored or engaged

not knowing your situation...is there not a crate he can stay in? A yard he can stay in...while you are visiting? None of mine are allowed to bother guests unless the request it. They are put into their crate or the dog yard.... The time to work on things with your dog is not when company is coming...it's before and after...for the visit itself just make them comfy someplace and remind yourself how important it is to work with your dog daily and steadily so NEXT time he can be a part of things

yes Tibbies are more a Spitz-like, than a Spaniel-like really to me, going by what I researched...that might even be so for Paps, who knows! Cockers do have a known propensity for submissive wetting which is a bummer...both the ones I've known personally have done so. That'd be a deal breaker for me.
