Hi all! I haven't visited in a long time, have a crazy schedule. That said, what I'm about to share is from my own experience ONLY, I'm not a vet, tech, or nutritionist. When we adopted our 2 cats, they were on Science Diet (aka: death) formula. 1 cat was constantly constipated, the other puked hair balls, they got Laxatone daily. Our vet, at the time, recommended SD Hair Ball formula, said the extra fiber would help. Yeah, it helped all right. I was now giving them Laxatone twice a day

When our climber was climbing the counter tops, then the tops of the cabinets & knocking my vases off at 2 or 3am, we were going nuts! We tried the soda cans with pennies, the 2 sided tape, hadn't tried the scat mat yet because we found the Snappy Trainer at our local PetsMart. It worked INSTANTLY! He got so scared that he just about fell off the counter top running for his life. That was the last time he climbed the counters. Now, he uses his kitty tree ALL the time - like his brother! Check

I agree with Myra. I had the same problem, even though we had a jumbo covered litter box. The problem was that my big boy was just too large to comfortably turn around in it. Plus as clean as cats are, that cover trapped some odors and he didn't like that at all. So, sometimes he'd poop in front of the litter box. I needed a larger, open litter box. Problem was noone made what I needed. I solved that problem, I made one of my own; inspired by a fellow forum member. It's THE best litter

When I was taking care of mom 2 years ago, she had a few come to her lilac bush. She decided they needed "fattening up" for the winter and we had go shopping for feeders. We got some and mom made the sugar solution for them, but she made it super-sonic! She dissolved a 5 lb bage of sugar in about 2 gallons of water. Anyway, she had fights going on at the feeders everyday! We loved watching them chase each other. Here's a few pics of mom's hummingbirds (I can't wait to get my

I'm so glad I read this thread. I've been searching for a new jumbo sized litter box, the one we had needed to be replaced. I looked everywhere and the closest I found, size wise, was in Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, it was still smaller than the current one, but I tried it anyway. It was OK, I liked the height of the bottom pan, it prevented litter from being scraped out of the box, but poor Bonkers (ie, fatty) was scrunched in it. I saw the storage tote type litter box at my local pet shop,

DH & I searched for a dog/pup around Christmas. We wanted to adopt from our local AC, HS or a rescue group. The AC & HS had a few dogs we were interested in, but they didn't seem to fit us, so we decided to keep looking. The rescue didn't want to place any dogs around Christmas. OK, we waited until after the new year. I'm glad we waited, there were so many dogs & pups "dumped" at the AC & HS that we were overwhelmed with the selection. But, we came across Peanut
i know if you neuter a puppy he'll grow up and not hike his leg on anything because he never had the urge to... (been my experience anyway)
When we adopted/rescued Draico, he was about 6 months old and neutered. When he went out to pee, he squatted like our female, Peanut. Not quite as low as she, but squatted. I thought that because he was so young, and not around other males, he just didn't know to lift his leg. Then someone mentioned about the neutering
