Personally I would not stress about your Vizslas weight.... they are a thin, athletic, very energetic breed and tend to look "skinny". I only tend to worry when their hip bones stick out too much LOL! My boy Tru can be a bit difficult when it comes to eating.... plus he does not eat when we are competing or hunting since he gets too excited. I do agree though with switching to a better food. I raised a Vizsla puppy on EVO with excellent results. I think that for a kibble it is a nice food. Now I feed 100% raw and do EVO when I am runnign low or they are with their trainer/handler. - jodi

Now understanding that Vizslas are not a "coated breed", nor do they have any coat texture requirements, I use a lot of PP different products and can say that I love all of them. I use treats pretty consistently. Why? I look at it as their paychec k for doing their job. With that being said, I have been in situations where I do not have treats and the dogs still listen. I prefer to reward them at this point. - jodi
