We had a HUGE adoption day! I am so thrilled - there were a LOT of community events today - so I was expecting a dud... but we had 12 adoptions today alone! I had my 'home visit' from the pit bull rescue, and they already have a dog lined up for me for next week (providing the pup I have now goes home tomorrow!). Overall...I'm tired. It's been a long week....

I was working at the local humane society - and was out with (then) BF eating dinner. He was driving the emergency van. He got a call, two dogs had been dumped - but the manager couldn't get the cage inside- she couldn't put her hands on it to pick it up - the dogs wanted to rip her fingers off. BF went, and they used two brooms to take the crate down to a kennel. A LARGE caution sign was put on the outside of the cage... "Carlito" and "Sammy" went for their behavioral

I had a foster like that... in fact - that's why she's still at at shelter ( I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER CAT! lol). Some cats are just much more athletic than others - just like dogs. It could work - and Tempo WILL listen when brother tells him to get lost. It might take a few times for that to sink in - but the brother will let him know when he's had enough, and when he wants to play. I've used kongs for my really active shelter cats... keeps them busy for a short while...

daily seems a bit much - unless you are actively treating for something... has she been checked for an infection? both yeast an bacterial carry strong, foul odors - very common in cockers. food plays a BIG part in the ears/coat...what are you feeding?
