Thanks Callie! :) SW if you are trying to add photos as a new thread in the photo section it's far easier to post your photos to a photo sharing site (most tend to use www.photobucket.com) and then just post the links in your thread. Use the links that are bracketed with *img on each end, they will post here as live photos. For your personal photo album, shrinking them does help especially if you are on dial up. As Callie said, you are probably getting timed out. Changing size and quality can

Interesting thread!! I have always been against e-collars. ..... until I did some research into them in the past year or so. Now, I'm getting ready to buy one and use it as a training device for bird work. Not to create pain or to hurt my dog, but to have a little control in situations where a dog is supposed to be working 50+ ft away from you. Similar, I'd guess to ScH work. You don't want a dog to learn to break away, once they catch a bird.... you have a heck of a time training them

I just wanted to update everyone, my niece is continuing to improve. Most of the stitches are out and her eye is healing well. They will be making an appointment with the plastic surgeon after the rest are removed. So far no infection, so that's the really great news, they had warned if infection started be prepared for her to spend several days admitted to the hospital if it set in. We are very happy that she's seeming to heal up fairly easily. She also seems to have full vision. Thank you

Awww!! Love the photos!! Your kids look like they are all doing great, Nike seems so much more confident, you can really see he's doing so well. Love the costumes!! I was at a show this weekend where they had a booth of just dog costumes, they had a dinosaur costume that had a tail opening so your dog could wag it's dinosaur tail. OMG it was SO funny!! Weims do have their disadvantages :) lol They put it on a BC and it was just too funny. I love that photo of Honor all wide eyed to play with

Welcome to the forum Ripsnorter :) I have to ask the question, why can't the dog come into the house? At the very least at night? I guess I don't understand why this is a problem. Even a laundry room or somewhere you know your dog is safe and warm. Yes, I know that 20+ yrs ago most people didn't have house pets, those that had dogs in the house were out of the norm. But, we've evolved in many ways as a society and in our pet care... why not let Fido in the house? What is the concern

I tried to respond last night, accidentally hit something that sent me "back" lost my entire post. I didn't have the patience to retype it up. First of all thank you for all the wonderful wishes!! I will let my niece know about all the support she's receiving and good thoughts towards her recovery. She's tossing back some good pain meds and with her eye swollen shut... has been spending most of her time asleep. Poor thing!! She loves dogs, and would love a snuggle from Miss

OK -- I don't often post but, wanted to ask for good thoughts as well as your take on the situation. My 16 yrs old niece was bitten by a dog. I haven't spoken with her as of yet... but, the second hand story I've received states that she was at her friends house, sitting next to the dog on the sofa. I guess she looked at the dog and said something to him... and he jumped up, bit her eye and then laid back down again. No warning, up and then down, happened extremely quickly. My sister's

Thank you SO much ladies. ... it was just such a surprise, poor thing!! Of course I'm the crazy dog lady in my family, so I heard about it right away before much was known. It scared everyone further when they showed up at Urgent Care (after calling to confirm that's where they should be going) to be turned away as it was "too severe" an injury. So they headed to the ER. Very scary. I got a little more info. She was petting a cat on one side of her, and she reached over to pet the

Moderator speaking, This thread is being monitored. For those of you unfamiliar with or needing a reminder of, here's a link to our forum RULES . I cannot say enough, post with respect towards the person even if you do not agree with what they are saying. To get this thread back on topic OP asks: I have a 9mo puppy, Sasha, who we think is possibly a whippet mix, with possibly some terrier in there somewhere. We've had her and a Chihuahua mix (same age) since they were about 16wks old. The
