Re: Any Doberman People? - Rescue Help

Sorry it took a while to update this. I just started a new job, and I have been busy. This girl actually went back to her breeder on Friday. We didn't think this would be the type of breeder to take a dog back, but it wasn't the case. I'm sure she will end up in a nice new home. :)

Re: Bailout to Cost $5,354 per Tax Payer…
I can't even imagine how the average household family is going to pay this!
They aren't going to send you a bill. The money is coming from taxes, so taxpayers are footing the bill, but it's not going to be due in full or anything. To me it's scary that our government is stepping into this. Where will it stop. I'm more in the school that the government should stay out of civillian affairs.

Any Doberman People? - Rescue Help

A friend of a friend is moving shortly and isn't going to bring her young dobe with her. She isn't sure how long she is going to be away, could be 2 months, could be a year +. I haven't met the owner, but I've met the dog and she has a very nice temperment and gets along with other dogs very well. She is I think about 10 months old now, and unfortunately not spayed yet. My friend and I don't want to see the dog dropped at the pound. Even if she were adopted, it wouldn't be

Re: Candies from China also tainted

I buy them at the Asian food store. Lots of people like them around here.

Re: so I had a kid follow me on my walk...
The only warning I remember is don't take candy from strangers! If a pedophile had told me a lost dog story I'm sure I would have hopped right in the car!
I would have hopped in the car as well, just as long as it wasn't a white van. Of course everyone knew, kidnappers only drove white vans.

Candies from China also tainted

I should really know better. I won't buy my pets anything made in China, but this morning while browsing msnbc I saw that the white rabbit candies that I was eating last week have been found to contain melamine. They are a milk based candy made in China. I just let the health department know as they are still on shelves. So since I was dumb, I figured I should post and let everyone know its not just formula that is tainted. It's other milk based products as well.

Re: About your vet (questions)

I like the smaller places as well. We had to bring Cheza to a dental specialist this year, and I was amazed at the quality of care we recieved. This place was 2 exam rooms, 2 vets, 1 tech. Both vets always examine the dog together, because they do the surgeries together. I wish I could find a regular vet like this. I think I need to expand my search a bit. The specialist was a bit of a trek, but I don't think I would ever bring my dogs anywhere else for anything dental related. On the physicals

Re: Vaccine Help

Yep, He has been vax'd for lepto 2x, once in the combo and then seperate. Plus he is vax'd in the fall so his shot isn't even lasting to summer when lepto is most active. Plus he gets the corona shot every year, and it's a puppy disease! I think I may start searching for a new vet after today. He needs his rabies so I will bring him in today, but I feel pretty let down. I always figured that the vet would know best. I'm just glad I came to this site and realized what should be
