I think it is not only a good idea but I think it is common practice. My sons give their resumes to every company they would like to work for. As far as I know they always deliver the resume in person, usually to the HR dept. You are always more memorable in person, so when a job pops up and they look at their files you may have an advantage - "Oh, I remember her. She seemed capable."

I think it is human nature to assign meaning and relevance to events in our lives - even if there is none. When I found Buddy on Petfinders, I felt a little guilty even considering a new dog after having lost Kobi. When I read his history however, I noticed he had entered the shelter the same day my sweet Kobi left us. I took it as a sign that we were destined for each other.

That is interesting. When Kobi was being treated for cancer the vet would dispense 3 of the 4 drugs and gave me a Rx for that one. I don't know if I was being ripped off by having the vet dispense but to me paying any vet bill feels like a rip. LOL!
