What I want you to know about me: Bevo looks very intimidating, but once you get to know him, he's a big teddy bear. He is very high energy, so we run every morning, & either roller blade or bike every evening. He has a goofy sense of humor, & can always be found in very close proximity to me. He is the definition of a "velcro dog."
Where I live: Bevo makes himself at home anywhere he goes. He's comfortable at our home, in a hotel room, or even at a nursing home or library where we frequently go for therapy visits.
Here's what happened when I first met my family: Bevo made an interesting first impression on the rest of my family. He was a rescue as a puppy, & to say the least, he had some issues that needed to be dealt with. He was a nervous wreck, & the rest of my family was sure that he was going to kill me in my sleep. It's a good thing that he has totally proved them wrong.
Things I like: He loves to go hiking, swimming, running, & biking. He enjoys training for obedience, rally, & we have recently started doing some tracking work, which he really enjoys.
Things I don't like: Bevo hates it when people touch his flanks. He hates to have feet rested on him like a footstool, & he really dislikes when our game of frisbee ends.
My favorite food: He's a chow hound. His all time favorite thing to eat is ostrich necks, but he won't complain about any kind of food.
My favorite toy: His favorite toy is his pink stuffed giraffe, followed closely by his collection of frisbees.
My favorite walk: Walk? Why walk when you can run? Bevo would prefer go for a run. He loves to go trail running. If the trails are to muddy, then he will be content with a run down by the lake.
The tricks I do best: He can do basic stuff like sit, down, & stay, but he loves to "help" out around the house. He finds things for me. Currently, he can find my keys, the remote control, both the home phone & the cell phone. He also will retrieve beverages from an ice chest for me.
