- What I want you to know about me
-
Joey is my loveable goof. He has a zillion expressions and two speeds: stop and go. His newest nickname is The Great Squirrel Hunter. And I have to brag as he's always being told he's so handsome by people we meet. It's true, he is.
- Where I live
-
We currently live in a third floor apartment which is the pits but it does come with one perk - stairs for him to race up and down. Soon we will be looking for something with a yard.
- Here's what happened when I first met my family
-
I am Joey's family but whenever he meets anyone, it's total adoration from the start. Especially guys. He's not a huge fan of kids but as long as they're low key and not shouting, he'll tolerate some petting and responds with wags.
- Things I like
-
CAR RIDES, squeakies, stuffies, walks, being the center of attention, getting in the water buckets at the dog park.
- Things I don't like
-
leashes but only because it means he can't get those darn squirrels; nail trims; bed time; ceiling fans and the oven.
- My favorite food
-
carrots, peanut butter, apples, cheese, I recently bought a box of crap dog treats and he's always 'asking' for them - they are rare in our house thus a delicacy.
- My favorite toy
-
Any cheap latex toy that squeaks. We've had the hamburger twice, two versions of the monster, a fish, and now his big ole cow. They usually last quite a while if we're not tugging on them all the time.
- My favorite walk
-
He really enjoys going to one of our city parks. It's in a nature preserve and there are several paths that wind around the entire park. He really likes going here because there's so much to see and sniff, without the bother of cars rushing by.
- The tricks I do best
-
Considering what a poor trainer I am, and what an impatient boy he is, his best trick is 'wait.' When I throw a toy, I tell him to wait and it takes all he has to sit there until I say OK. It's good about 75% of the time.
