I haven't had time to write an update because I've been so busy the last few days! I'm really going to have to rest up today so that I'm revved up for agility tonight.
My weekend actually started Thursday. Grandma came to pick me up shortly after my mom left to go out after work. We hung out for a few hours before she took me home again. Mom surprised me by coming home early, so I didn't even have to be alone very long!
We took the day off work on Friday and spent a lazy morning at home. We had a really busy afternoon, though, because we had to go pick up Mom's horse trailer and make a bunch of stops. She felt guilty about having to leave me that night, so I got to go to the barn! I love going to the barn because I get to run and run and run! I was so tired when we went home and probably wouldn't have cared at all if Mom left me, but she changed her mind and decided to stay home. I guess she was tired, too!
Mom dropped me off early at Grandma & Grandpa's house on Saturday because she had to go do her horse thing. I had a busy, busy day with them that involved coming into work for a while and then spending almost seven hours on the river! It was really hot outside and the longest trip I've gone on this year, but it was fun because they stopped a few times so that I could get out and swim.
I got to sleep over at Grandma & Grandpa's house that night. Grandma really needs to buy me a bigger dog bed because the one she had is too small for me. I ended up spending most of the night just sleeping on the floor next to the bed. Grandpa ran me LOTS and then they dropped me off at home where Mom surprised me by being there! I tried to act happy & excited to see her, but I was really thirsty & tired from all the running so I just wanted to get a drink and lay on the cool floor.
Mom left to go to the barn but I barely noticed because I just wanted to catch up on my sleep from my long hard day the day before. When she got home we went back up to Grandma & Grandpa's house, but they were out playing on their motorcycles. When they got back everyone left me right away, so I didn't even get a chance to tell Grandpa happy birthday! They weren't gone too long, though, so I got to hang out with her for a while when they all got back. Then Mom & I went home and pretty much went straight to bed. It was a really exhausting weekend!
Tonight is the last night of agility class which means we'll be having a competition. Mom says I need to reserve my energy today so that I can kick butt in class. This will be good practice for my upcoming show!
