So my corgi is having a skin issue that is stumping the vet.  The skin on the tip of her right ear is flakey and some of her hair is wanting to fall out in that area.  It is not itchy and does not seem to bother her at all.  It is not mites or ringworm.  We tested for that.  I even tried to change her food and give her fish oil in order to improve her skin and coat condition.  Nothing seems to be working.  I have a feeling that I am going to have to take her to a specialist.  I am wondering if anyone else has had any similar problems with their dog. 

Molly started her first advance training class the other day.  I thought that she would be out of her league with some of these other dogs.  She is only 11 months and some of these dogs have been in continuous advanced training for years.  I was suprised on how well she did and look forward to taking her again.  I have been trying to work with her at home for at least a few minutes a day on the standard stuff; heal, stay, come, leave it, bla bla bla.  I was amazed on the skill level these other dogs were at.  I heard that the one is the number 3 mixed breed dog in the nation for obedience (not sure if that is true, but it would be cool it is).  I hope to learn a thing or two from her.  I must add that I think that taking her through all these obedience classes has been worth it.  She is very well behaved and we have few problems with her.  Plus, it is fun and allows me to spend some good time with my dog.

I always thought that the people who dress their dogs up in little outfits needed some mental help.  Have I turned into one of those people?  I have a Halloween costume for my dog.  She looks so darn cute in it and I am excited about sitting on my porch with her while I hand out candy.  I am sure that she will get a lot of attention.  I promise my poor dog that this is a one time thing and that I will not fress her up on a regular basis.

I wish that there were more hours in the day.  I feel a little bad that I can't spend more time with my pets.  The poor dog has not been getting as many walks lately.  The highlight for today was a trip to the pet store, yippy.  Luckily she is happy with the bone I bought her. I guess that we still have some adjusting to do with our new schedules.
