Hello everyone!

Just letting you know that I have been busy preparing for knee surgery and haven't taken the time to post the latest news.  Well, Maisy is in heat!!  It is an interesting time and she has the goofiest timing.

The first time she was in heat was the weekend that we moved! What a hassle!  But, we made it through.  The second time she was in heat was the very day that I had an ACL replacement on my left knee.  This was when she became "with pups".  So, jokingly, I said all summer, well she will come into heat the next time I have surgery (I knew I needed the other knee fixed too).  Well, that is exactly what happened!!!  She came into heat last week on Sunday and things are pretty hot around our house these days. 

I have some pictures to post of my very own creative solution to keeping my girl dog "clean" and keeping my male "snug and together"!  It is the swimsuit solution!  It works so very well for both dogs!!  I don't have to worry about any kind of "accidents" whether "messy" or "connected"... you know what I mean!!  The dogs are really quite comfortable in the Lycra suits, and being Golden Retrievers, they are quite laid back about the whole wearing a suit thing.  It is a bother to let them out each time, suit on... suit off... but it is worth it.  My two dogs can live together in harmony with no concern, no separation, and no whining!!  It makes a dogs heat cycle bearable!!

Hello again! 

Looking at the dates, it's obviously been two months since my very first post.  So, anyone reading this should know that I had some technical difficulties with this site in the beginning and I couldn't get it up right away.  Then, well, my professional life was altered a bit, so needless to say I have been in challenged in many ways to be attentive to my very first blog!!

However, I am ready now    and the site seems to be working fine now.  I will be adding content and pictures very regularly of our wonderful summer raising our ten beautiful puppies.  I even have some video I want to post... once I figure out how to do that!

So, if you have something to say... say it!  If not, just stop by anyway to say "HI" and tell me a little bit about yourself and your dogs! 

If you are someone who adopted one of our pups into your family, please, by all means, write me!!  I hope that this can be a public forum where our puppy owners can share a story or ask a training tip and just once in a while give us all an update.  There are ten families out there who we are all "kin" to!

I am so happy to open up this blog! This blog is open to anyone who may wish to participate. It is especially intended for our new puppy owners from the summer 2007 litter out of "Jewel's Golden Mowgli Bear" and "Jewel's Maisy Day Grace".  These ten puppies were born on July 6, 2007 and at the time of this post they are 11 weeks old.
