Know more about your dog and find how long your dog can concentrate for. Don't push the dog beyond his capability. Long time of training has no benefits for both of you and your dog. You should let your dog share the training happy time with you. Your dog will love training and never hate it. It is better to has 3-5 lessons per day and 5-10 minutes per lesson. During every break between 2 lessons, release your dog for a while, and then start fresh tricks. Think it about when you have to learn something new, it takes you more time, concentration and energy and it is no difficult for your canine friend.
All dogs need training, there is nothing worse than Rover jumping all over you or barking constantly. Once your dog knows who's his boss and has respect, you will be happy for having a nice and well behaved dog.
