I found this fabulous dog in the shelter after 9/11, a month or so after another dog had gone to doggie heaven. I'm sure that guy spirited me to the kennel that day! Spark is a perfect dog (well, nearly -)) once he
learned his new name. I have the romantic notion that his owner was on
Flight 93, which originated in my town, and that I honored the owner by
loving this dog beyond reason. Got the other two later, after deciding
that I have so much in common with the breed!
