- What I want you to know about me
-
She's a purebred Beagle but I think she's a bit smaller then the standard for a 13". She's a DRAMA QUEEN. If you touch her and she doesn't want to be touched she starts yelping and whining, like, "Ouch, it hurts, it burns, it stings, I'm dying, help, ouch." But you know she's not hurt 1) because I know I'm barely touching her and 2) if in the middle of the spiel something makes a noise she immediately stops to go investigate. She's also vindictive. If you do something she doesn't like she'll throw her food out of her kennel so you have to clean it up, she used to pee on the floor for revenge, but we've broken her of that.
- Where I live
-
Same as Blaze
- Here's what happened when I first met my family
-
She peed. I mean seriously. The woman we got her from had her potty out side before she came in. My husband held her and she peed on him. Then he put her on the couch (it was covered) and she peed on that (it seemed like she peed forever, we were worried about picking her up because we didn't want her peeing on anything else) then I held her and she peed on me. The breeder wanted to say goodbye an when she picked her up I think she got a little wet too. The dog was only the size of my hand
- Things I like
-
In the house she likes to curl up in stuff like blankets and dirty clothes. She'll actually throw the laundry in the air so it falls and covers her. Outside she just likes to follow her nose where ever it takes her.
- Things I don't like
-
The other dogs getting too close to 'her space' She feels she has a 3' radius all around her and if another dogs comes into that space and she doesn't want a 'visitor' she yelps and howls like she dying and no one has even touched her!
- My favorite food
-
Anything she's not supposed to have, including, and especially, small animals. There's a tree in our yard and one year a baby bird fell our. Unknown to us Dusty ate it. The next day she kept puking, we didn't know why. I was about to take her to the vet when up came a beak, solved that little mystery.
- My favorite toy
-
She'll chew on something flavored (bone, rawhide, etc) but she's not too into toys except to chase Co-Co if Co-Co has a toy.
- The tricks I do best
-
The only one she's done is 'steal'. What happened was that at one of our vet's events, my friend was showing how her dog would leave a treat on its paw until she told the dog to take it. Every time my friend moved her hand away from the treat, my DH would tell Dusty to 'steal' and she'd run over and grab the treat and come back.
