Co-Co
Australian Shepherd / Kai Ken(?) mix
Age: 5 years
Weight: About 50 lbs
I'm a Female
What I want you to know about me
She's come a long way. When we first got her (10 weeks) she was afraid of other people. Now she's fine so long as no one approaches her too fast. She's also made great advances in obedience. She can be very hyper and when she was a year old we took her to our vet's pet fair. She was very excited, wanting to sniff everything (there were many animals there that she'd never seen before). There was a training group there and one of them made the comment, "Well I can see this one's never had a training class." (Just because she pulled on the leash!) I was so mad, but the only comment I made was that she had been through a puppy class and then I walked away. This year at that the fair the same people were there and I got to feel a bit smug when Co-Co won musical sit and everyone fussed over how good she was.
Where I live
Same as Blaze.
Here's what happened when I first met my family
She rode in my lap on the way home. When she walked into our house the first thing she did was puke on the floor. Turns out the people we got her from were feeding her ADULT Kibbles-N-Bits!! Her poor tummy couldn't take it.
Things I like
She loves to play fetch. Well, fetch indoors atleast. Outside its more like Chase-the-ball-bring-it-halfway-back-drop-it-and-rolll-on-it-for-awhile-then-keep-it-from-Mystic-and-Dusty-then-bring-it-close-and-drop-it. She really likes other dogs. In her mind all dogs should want to play w/ her.
Things I don't like
My father-in-law. She's never gotten over her fear of him. She won't go near him for anything, not even a hot dog. I think it's because he has a very loud, outgoing personality.
My favorite food
Anything! If it's edible she wants it. There was a few days after we got Mystic that she pouted and didn't want to eat her food but we put a spoon full of peas in it and she couldn't resist.
My favorite toy
The newest one. She loves all toys but she wants to play with the last one out of the bag first, then when she done with that one she play with the others.
The tricks I do best
She's the most reliable with 'give me paw'. She's also making progress w/ 'roll over'.
