- What I want you to know about me

Kaydee is our "Big Bad Bulldog".... she is typical of the standard in every way... if you act funny, or shifty, or up to no good, then Kaydee will be on your heels in a heart beat.
But despite that she is a great family dog!!
however.... her motto has always been "Dont start no stuff, wont be no stuff!" ..which has gotten her into a lot of trouble in the past..
Since Feb. 2007 Kaydee has had problems walking. She was Paralyzed from her hips down and was unable to walk for three months. At the three month mark she was able to move her legs, then eventually able to stand, then take steps... six months later she can walk, trot, wag her tail and run... though her running is similar to a rabbit's run... hind legs dont move quite like a dog's yet. But that is a world of difference compared to six months ago!!!

Kaydee also lives with two other bulldogs, a chihuahua, and a JRT. She gets to come and go inside as she pleases...
- Here's what happened when I first met my family

We got Kaydee from a lady i worked with. She was giving her up because she was too big for her house. When Kaydee first came to our house she immediately took up the position of "Guardian of Pregnant Women".. she never let me out of her sight. if strangers were present she would "guard" me... i.e. sit between me and stranger and glare at them.. or growl if necessary. She once launched herself at a man who directly, and purposely tried to stare her down into submission... fortunately for both of
- Things I like

family, home, chewy things, squeaky things, sticks, leather, running in the woods or fields.
- Things I don't like

strange men.. or most men in general. my husband is the only man she tolerates around here. she also doesnt like other female dogs... especially females with a chip on their shoulders. Kaydee is, like i said, typical of the Scott American Bulldog standard.... she is, as some say.. dead game.. which is a ton of responsibility for me and my husband.... but what we get from her in return is worth it sometimes.. other times we wonder if we need our heads checked!!!
- My favorite food

any meaty substance that comes from an animal. she hates veggies.... unless its bread.
- My favorite toy

sticks..... once in a while a tennis ball... but as a rule she is a fiend for chasing sticks!!
- My favorite walk

anywhere i go she will follow... and if she cant follow she will bark until i come back..
- The tricks I do best

pre-back injury... sitting up, standing on her hind legs, lie down, sit, get up, and "go get it" now she just manages sit, stay(and she stays like a pro!!! i could put her in a down stay in front of prime rib and she wont budge!! and no i didnt teach her that) and she is just getting back to "go get it"
