    Poor little foster pug!

I just picked up a 8 month-1 year old pug from Jacksonville on Sunday.  He is such a said looking pup, but has the spirit of a healthy active pup.  He was picked up by another rescue about a month ago on the side of the road.  He spent his time at the vet clinic she took him to until i got him.  While there he started treatment for demodex and also had a rectal prolapse.  Which he had surgery for.  The plan was i was going to keep him for a week and then take him to another foster home but as of now this little guy is staying with me.  So please keep him in your prays that he heals up and the prolapse causes no more problems and he finds a great forever home.

Awww! Such a cute little puggy face! I would love to adopt a pug someday! Of course, we currently are at our doggy limit. If I didn't have DH to stop me, we'd have half a dozen pooches by now.

    RE: Poor little foster pug!

Thank you all for your prayers.  This little guy is a handful.  I've  never dealt with demodex that was this severe so i don't know how long he will be in my care before he is ready to go.  As of now the demodex is the least of our worries because he is still recovering from the surgery for his rectal prolapse.  We have to be very careful with his food and not give him anything other than his food. As of right now he is on Eukanuba low-residue adult even though none of the people involve like the choice of food. There are very few low-residue diets out there so any help in finding something better for him to eat would be greatly appreciated.
