    Insane pic overload

It's been another busy day.  My mum came round and we both spent the day spoiling William rotten!

First we went to feed the ducks, but I had NO bread in the house.  Well, I couldn't fail on my promise to William, so we BOUGHT some bread specially on the way there!

We have some insanely nice places to walk near us.... the walk to the park is just beautiful.

Will had a great time at the park... I think he went on just about everything!

Except for this roundabout... bigger kids were playing on that and were going a bit too fast for him.  But he wanted a go on it so badly!

I think the swings were his favourite.

After that we went swimming... he had a ride on one of those cars while I paid for our session Smile

Check out his cool wetsuit Big Smile

And of course when you have been swimming you need to have a shower afterwards!

The day still was not over....  Swimming makes you HUNGRY, so we went to lunch at our favourite cafe Smile  Here he is choosing what he wants off the menu...

    Mmm, YUM!

William's love of ice cream is legendary! Big Smile  We shared that with him btw.... he didn't scoff it all on his own!

He is going to sleep well tonight....

Thanks for looking! Big Smile Big Smile  Big Smile  Big Smile  Big Smile

Adorable! Love that wetsuit he had on at the pool.  The walk to the park is so beautiful.  How lucky you are to have such a great place nearby.

Aw he is just so cute. But that wetsuit is so adorable!!!! Where did you get it? I have a friend who has a premie. He's 15 months old now and they do swim lessons and he gets cold so fast. I bet something like this would be a huge help!

Don't worry Gin, that was my first thought too.  Kali has one a wetsuit like that too.  I always brought it too the pool with us and checked the water before we got changed.  Sometimes the water was cooler and then I would put the wetsuit on instead of her regular bathing suit.  It really did help to keep her warmer.  Her's was a little shorter on the leg though and has short sleaves too.  But it still helped.  She's always fine when she's splashing around and stuff, but if she stops and relaxes in the pool she cools down fast.

I'm jealous too.  I wish we had places like that close enough to walk to.  There are a couple of nature trails that are pretty, but the parks are all pretty far.  Oh, who am I kidding, I could walk there if I really wanted to.  Its just a matter of packing up the kids, the dogs and going.

Thank you!! Smile  I got it off a sale rail at a supermarket!  It was £4 I think.  It's just a teeny bit short in the leg, but it keeps the rest of his body warmer than trunks would.  It worked out really well because that day we couldn't go in the baby pool as we normally do, because Toddler Splash was on, and Will as too little for it. (They have to be 3 or over.)  So we had to go to the main pool upstairs, which is a lot cooler.  He coped for ages without getting too cold thanks to the wetsuit Big Smile

William you are such at stud with your body suit - getting all ready for the next Olympics, huh.  Looks like an awesome day - I bet everyone sleeps good tonight... leaving to go get an ice cream sundae...

    Re: Insane pic overload

Wow!  As I progressed through the photos, I kept thinking, could this day get any more perfect for a child?  Riding in the stroller, feeding ducks, a stunning park to see, playground rides, swimming . . . and most importantly, the finishing touch is a hot fudge sundae??!!  As an ice cream lover myself, that just pushed the whole day beyond perfect!   Why is it that as we get older we don't enjoy as many full days of pure fun like that?  Not that you didn't enjoy the day, too, but everything you planned for him was a total thrill for a child, and you can tell by the smiles in those photos that he thought so too!

What a gorgeous place to walk - is that just a city park?  I don't know where in the UK you live, but it must be a wonderful area!
