    Nature's Variety Instinct Dry Question

I ordered a small 4 pound bag of Nature's Variety Instinct Chichen for Nemo to try and noticed that there is a pattern of small pinholes on the bottom of the bag.

Is this normal?  I haven't opened the bag yet.

I went to their website to try to find a customer service number to call and ask but there doesn't seem to be a number available....unless I really overlooked it.  Just e-mail and I REALLY HATE websites that won't answer a question unless you tell them everything about yourself including your shoe size which makes me think that this will probably be the only bag of Instinct I'll be buying.

    Thanks.

might be better served if you call the company you ordered the bag from and ask about the holes.

Pinholes or is it a pattern in the bag that is in a 1" or so wide strip that runs on both sides across the bottom ?

Yes, it runs on both sides of the bottom of the bag.  I got out a magnifying glass and looked and they do look like pin holes.  Reminds me very much of the size and texture of braille.

Since you described it so well, I'm guessing you've seen it before and hoping it's supposed to be there.

Re: Nature's Variety Instinct Dry Question

I buy my dogs the big bags of Nature's Variety Prairie... I've never seen actual pin holes in the bags but I think they vaccuum seal the bags and sometimes the food (they are relatively small kibbles) gets pressed against the bag and makes little bumps in the bag. But if there are holes in the bag I wouldn't open it. Aso, I buy mine from a store so maybe the holes got there from shipping if you ordered it.

Good luck though, I don't find many people who feed NV but in my opinion it is the best premium food (at least of the ones I've tried). One of my dogs had soft stools on every premium brand I tried except NV -- and they love the taste, been eating it for a few years now..I haven't tried Instint though, mainly because it's a bit more expensive than the Prairie which is expensive enough!
