Replacing Canidae?

Reply Contact NikoAwesomo: Have you looked the new formulas?  The various grains (and grain fraction like rice bran...which Canidae previously claimed not to use) added now are not necessarily great for some dogs due to allergies to various grains.  I am not thrilled because of the barley added.  My lab itches whenever he eats barley.  OK - I have looked as best I can. What about Eagle Holistic Chicken? It does have oatmeal, and beet pulp, but uses different sources of animal protein. And is reasonably easy to find, sorta. And probably in the same price range, however I have not checked.

Reply Contact I have never tried Eagle Pack products.  For my money, I would choose Healthwise Chicken and Oatmeal.  Very good ingredients.  It gives my lab shiny coat, very minimal amount of shedding and, best of all, small poops!!  All of these at reasonable price.The omega 3 and omega 6 in Healthwise products are very high (higher than most except for Canine Caviar and Nature's Logic, to the best of my knowledge).  P.S. I never tried Healthwise lamb and oatmeal because of the barley in it.
