  Re: moca just killed a bee!! (jm) Reply Contact Sorry I didn't see this late last night -- it's only a problem if "allergic" to bees. Do you have Benedryl?  (diphenhydramine) 1-2 mg/lb body weight.  Not sure which Chinese herb acts as an antihistamine, sorry.  Apis is a homeopathic that would work very well if that's available. But if Moca hasn't reacted by now it should be fine -- usually anaphylactic shock happens really fast.  It can make the airway swell shut (particularly if they get stung in the mouth or throat).  It can also cause a "hives" reaction (not as in 'bee hive' but as in a swollen rash breaking out on the body).  Hope Moca is ok!

(jm) Reply Contact ah, cool, thanks guys... i never got stung by a bee and dunno anyone who is allergic, so i had like no idea... was ok, i guess if it hurts that bad, she woulda yelped if she had gotten stung... you know i dont even know what a bee sting looks like. lol! i guess i could count this as moca's first kill... (jm) Reply Contact Yeah, trust me, if it stung her and she was allergic you'd know.  When my pup was stung she swelled up within seconds...called her puffy all the way to the vet. She was fine, just now I get all protective about her with bees around.
